This tutorial was written in PSP9, but should easily be done in other versions of PSP. A working knowledge of the program is recommended, but the tutorial is relatively easy.

Supplies:
Tube of choice ¨C one taller than wide will work best
?
Filters: ()
VM Toolbox ¨C Grid
Simple ¨C Diamonds
Toadies ¨C Weaver
?
All Settings will remain the same unless stated otherwise.
?

Step 1
Open your tube of choice. Duplicate and close the original
?
Step 2
Image> Resize
Settings:
Resample using Smart Size
Lock aspect ratio = checked
Resize all layers = checked
Resize to no more than 300 pixels wide and 400 pixels high
?
*Optional> Adjust> Sharpness> Sharpen
?
Step 3
Dropper Tool
Left click to select a dark color for your foreground
Right click to select a light color of the same hue for your background
?
Step 4
Edit> Copy your tube and minimize
?
Step 5
File> New 1350 x 350 pixels
?
*if you are using a wider screen resolution, you will need to make the appropriate adjustments, and subtract 300 from your overall width for your side border later in the tutorial
?
Step 6
Flood fill with your light color (right click)
?
Step 7
Adjust> Add/Remove Noise> Add Noise
Settings:
Gaussian 8% Monochrome
?

Effects> Plugins> VM Toolbox> Grid (default settings)

Effects> Plugins> Simple> Diamonds

Effects> Texture Effects> Fur
Settings:
Blur 4
Density 30
Length 10
Transparency 20

Layers> New Raster Layer
Flood Fill with your light color
Lower the opacity so that you can see the pattern below

Image> Add Borders 2
Symmetric Checked
Color> Dark

Step 13
Image> Add Borders 3
Color> Light

Image> Add Borders 5
Color> Dark

Image> Add Borders 10
Color> Light

Layers> Promote Background Layer

Image> Canvas Size 1700 (or your preferred width) x 450
Placement RIGHT center
Add 30 to the right border

Layers> New Raster Layer
Layers> Arrange> Move Down

Flood Fill with your dark color

Adjust> Add/Remove Noise> Gaussian 8% Monochrome Checked

Effects> Plugins> Toadies> Weaver
Settings:
Cell Width = 40
Cell Height = 50
Cell Edges On/Off = 175

Layers> Merge> Merge Visible

Step 23
Edit> Paste As a New Layer (Your Tube)

Step 24
Move your tube to the left side and arrange to your liking
?
Step 25
Effects> 3D Effects> Drop Shadow
Settings:
Vertical/Horizontal 0
Opacity 35
Blur 15
Color Black
(or use a drop shadow to your liking)

*DO NOT add a drop shadow to a misted tube
?
Step 26
Layers> New Raster Layer
Add your watermark and any accents you choose at this point
?
Step 27
File> Export 20-25% JPG Optimizer and save
?
Run Through Letter Creator and you have a new stationery
?
