Re: CQ WW VHF Recipe
开云体育Hi ScottFYI I just went to the reflector files and dragged the new CQ VHF file over and I will show you two screen shots. Also I do not see it in the CC when I open it. Could be operator error! WB2ZAB

Re: CQ WW VHF Recipe
开云体育Dear ScottThanks for your work in making Cab Converter have the flexibility to accommodate so many contests. I just used your new recipe and just to let you know, it will need a little tweaking. It wasn’t a problem for me as the CQ Robot told me what it didn’t like or didn’t see and it gave me a chance to make the corrections on the page they provided. Here is the final report they sent me after my cabrillo was accepted. You will see a few things that need to be changed/inserted, like 6 instead of 50 for band, number of transmitters, etc. I will let you take it from here. And thanks for all you do! 73 todd WB2ZAB Callsign: WB2ZAB Header Information: CONTEST: CQ-VHF

Re: CQ WW VHF Recipe
I have not seen one in the files, so if someone could possibly write a recipe for this contest I and others would be very grateful.? The rule differences between the CQ VHF. and ARRL VHF contests are enough to create a separate recipe. From my low level knowledge perspective, the capture is close if not identical, but the classes of operation are?completely?different.? tnx es 73? |
Re: RSGB VHF Contests
开云体育So,?I have contacted my friend who knows about the RSGB contests and to quote:
The comment about 3 figure serials is because the spacing by default allows for 5. And to be pedantic, it’s 6 alphanumeric characters for locator. I don’t expect us to produce Reg1Test format (well not yet), since RSGB are still accepting Reg1Test He is asking for a cabrillo log that was rejected by the Contest Robot so they can pursue that - anyone got one? I will have a look that what I’ve done in the past, remind myself of the Recipe format and product recipes for the V/UHF contests. However, I can’t do that within a couple of days, so that wont help for anyone who needs to submit a log within the next week. I’ll get on with though. 73 de David, M0XDF --?

Incorrect mode mapping?
According to the Cabrillo QSO Data Specification, the mode in the Cabrillo file is only supposed to be one of {CW,PH,FM,RY,DG). I'm usually a CW-only operator, but for Field Day this year, I dabbled in FT4 and FT8 because band conditions were poor at my QTH.?
I noticed that CabConverter doesn't appear to be mapping the modes from ADIF format properly.? In particular, FT8 is being passed through as mode FT8, and FT4 is appearing as MFSK (the ADIF specification says FT4 is mode MFSK, submode FT4).? Looking at?CabrilloQSO.java?in CabConverter, it looks like the program consolidates a couple of ADIF modes to the correct values but passes through everything else directly from the ADIF mode attributes.? ?This seems broken.? Both FT4 and FT8 contacts should appear as mode DG in the Cabrillo file. This is what wsjtx does when generating its Cabrillo output.? Am I missing something here?? I've seen others in this group remark that they had to edit the Cabrillo file to manually make this change. Thanks, ? ?Don KK4E |
Re: RSGB VHF Contests
Colleagues,
I might need some help with this. The RSGB doesn't appear to be using straight Cabrillo (as though there were such a thing). They do have this: Using the online submission forms, you can enter in everything you need for the contest. The logging is a little tedious (one QSO at a time), but you could get there in the end. I've tried to figure this out, but it is late here on the East Coast of the US. I am going to need a little more time. DOES ANYBODY HAVE A LOG (CABRILLO) FILE THAT HAS BEEN USED IN ONE OF THESE VHF CONTESTS? If so, please send it to me : NE1RD --at-- A R R L --dot-- NET I'll look at it again Thursday evening and Friday morning (I have Friday off work, thankfully). Thanks for any help anybody can supply. 73! -- Scott (NE1RD and author of CabConverter) Alan via groups.io wrote on 7/15/20 7:03 AM: All the RSGB VHF contests seem to have a three part exchange, consisting of: RS(T) + 3 Digit Serial Number + 6 digit locator. Re: IARU HF World Championship recipe refreshed
开云体育Hi Scott and CadConverter Group
I need help/suggestions for submitting my IARU Contact Log to the contest. ?I did not find the MacLogger set-up instructions or the CabConverter recipe prior to the contest. ?The ADIF file I exported to QRZ is probably not suitable for CabConverter
without some editing.
I attach screen shots of the Log file ?and the ADIF file that MacLogger produced. ?Any suggestions of how I can edit the ADIF file to be suitable for CabConverter for the IARU contest? ?I’m a relatively new ham, and this is the first AIRU contest
I have participated in.
Thanks for any help/suggestions.

Re: RSGB VHF Contests
开云体育Ok, working on getting the RSGB HF SSB contests onto the site. If people wish I’ll develop UKAC types etc. I have taken part in these, but never used CabConverter for them. I have 8 recipes to load altogether.I used ‘Minos’ for V/UHF contests and it’s now available on Mac OS - sorry for competitive plug! 73 de David, M0XDF --?

Re: RSGB VHF Contests
开云体育All,My migration of the group from Yahoo to Groups.IO was possibly a little sloppy. I may have dropped a few things in the move. Perhaps this was one of them. If so, I'm very sorry. David: If you have a recipe for this (or anything else that is not up on the Groups.IO site), please post it again! We all appreciate anyone who steps up and helps the community with new recipes! Now is a good time for EVERYONE who has a recipe to make sure it appears on the website. I'm going to be pulling together a new release with EVERYTHING in the next week or so. That is, ALL recipes will be included by default in the new release. Don't forget to make the little TextEdit file with instructions for how to use your new recipe. Setting up MacLoggerDX properly is an important step (and misconfiguring entries in your log leads to headaches). Take a moment to add your name and callsign to the recipe, too. It is nice to see who has contributed. This is the season before contesting season, so it is a good time to get organized. Thank you for your help, David. Please let me know if I can help in any way. Re: RSGB VHF Contests
开云体育I thought I had done that many year ago, when we first started using Recipes. but I don’t see them in ?or on my Mac.I do have a number of RSGB SSB HF recipes and their documentation, that are not in the Files section. But I?haven’t used them for some years, so not sure if the still work.
