Hello All,
I recently downloaded and configured CabConverter and failed to notice a recipe for Field Day. I see all of the other contests contained in the CCContests folder.
Am I missing something on my end?
Thank you and 73, Alex, W4KYW

Re: CabConverter doesn't read any QSOs from my ADIF file
Hi,
If you send me the ADIF file, I can take a look. Please send it to ne1rd ---at--- arrl ----dot---- net
Thanks!

CabConverter doesn't read any QSOs from my ADIF file
Generated my own ADIF file using LOTW. But when I click on any adi or adx file no QSOs show up on the right hand side and thus can't generate a Cab file??
Any idea what's wrong??

Field Day 2020 Submission
Good morning!
Even though yesterday was quite rough for my first Field Day, only yielding 38 contacts in 9 hours, I am still happy to have gotten that many.
What I’m wondering is when setting up the ADIF file to become a cabrillo format, what do the power levels refer to? I assume low is QRP, medium is less than 150W, and high is everything higher than that?
Thanks!

Re: ARRL 2020 VHF June Contest -
Thanks to all: ?I, too, saw the end result of “mixed”. However, I imported my digital QSOs from WSTJ-X into MLCS via the .adi file. Of course, the send/receive was blank so I’ll tackle that tomorrow: ?As always, waiting until the last minute is NOT recommended (hi).?

With the default recipe and an ADIF including FM, SSB, JT65 and FT8, I was able to leave the category mode as SSB and the resulting Cabrillo file included "CATEGORY-MODE: MIXED", which was accepted by the ARRL site.
I did have to change a few digital modes to DG (as Todd noted) and a few bands needed editing, e.g.:
<FREQ_RX:3>446<FREQ:3>446<BAND:4>70CM<BAND_RX:4>70CM<MODE:2>FM
resulted in "446" in the Cabrillo file, which I had to change to "432". ?Likewise with 223 -> 222, and 1296 -> 1.2G. ?I referenced??to find the appropriate corrections.

Scott It workded for me, but I did have to use text edit to change FT8 to DG for the robot to accept my log. Once I did it eat the whole thing no problem.

If the contest doesn’t load at all, then you made a little syntax error. If you can figure out how to run CabConverter from the Terminal window, it will tell you what went wrong.?
Give this a look. If you’re stuck, I’ll make the edit myself and send it to you. (And, I’ll likely update the one on Groups.IO once I confirm things with the contest rules.)

Re: ARRL 2020 VHF June Contest -
Todd brings up an important point: you can always edit the generated file to change things like CW/SSB to ALL, for example. (This is marginally easier to do than edit the XML file so the choice appears in the pick-list.)
Thanks, Todd!

I'm trying to submit a Cabrillo file for the ARRL June VHF contest and it requires grid squares for the QSO. How do I reference the QSO in the recipe XML file? Here's an ADIF file sample:
<CALL:4>WD6T<NAME:13>David A Jaffe<QTH:8>BERKELEY<STATE:2>CA<CNTY:7>Alameda<QSO_DATE:8>20200614<TIME_ON:6>225549<QSO_DATE_OFF:8>20200614<TIME_OFF:6>225551

<EOR>
Here's the recipe:
<QSO>
<Text>QSO:</Text>
<Frequency inMhz="true"/>
<Mode/>
<Date/>
<Time/>
<MyCallsign/>
<MyGridsquare/>
<TheirCallsign/>
<Gridsquare/>
</QSO>
Here's the Cabrillo output:
QSO: 446 FM 2020-06-14 2255 KG6RYV MyGridsquare WD6T Gridsquare?
ARRL wants this:
QSO: freq mode yyyy-mm-dd hhmm call sent grid sent call copied grid copied
I don't know how to reference the grid square variables to get the data out of the ADIF and into the Cabrillo.
Surprised I can't find a reference to grid squares in any of the out-of-the-box recipes with the CabConverter download. Am I missing something?

Right, I thought you might have done that. I’ll have to double check what the status is.? Scot or Brian, you may be better placed to resolve this, or anyone else who is using the latest version as a classic app and not firing up via Terminal.
