Re: Chirp with Retevis RT95
Not sure, but I believe I had the channel width or step size wrong. Or maybe the mode. After some messing around for awhile, I got it to work. So far works great. Thanks!

Re: Chirp with Retevis RT95
The Retevis RT95 is not under development. If there is a bug or missing feature a ticket can be opened and it will be looked at.
If you are getting a "some memories are incompatible with this radio"

I'm mentioning things that might have been overlooked here, just in

I understand Chirp with Retevis RT95 is still under development, but thought I would give it a try. When I tries to load a bunch of frequencies, the UHF frequencies canme back with an error message

Has anyone any experience of programming these radios? I have a simple and very basic (sorry) question: is it programmed via the earphone or usb socket? I have Baofeng cables for both but neither

It's not on list, but it seems quite a few Icom

Just backdate your driver. It's dead simple.
See https://www.miklor.com/COM/UV_Drivers.php
You don't need to spend unnecessary money on new cables.

*UPDATE* The root cause of this issue is an illegal cloned chip in an older Baofeng cloning cable. ?I was told today that new Baofeng cloning cables should not have any issue.

The only difference is the custom text. ? Check for a ¡°special character¡± ?or possible overflow in the custom message. ? Is the bad machine now bricked?

Hello, all,
I was tasked with programming 10 Baofeng UV-5 radios, fresh out of the
