Legacy vs. new

 

I have used chirp for more years than I can count. Because I switched to Linux years ago, it was the only alternative that didn't run on just windows.

So I say this with no malice at all.

As far as cloning is concerned:

Your new chirp looks nice but it doesn't work.

1. I tried the new version again with my FT-8800, and no matter what I tried it errored out with a frame 0 error.

2. Same radio same exact Linux system, works fine on the lagacy system.

So either fix the new system or never get rid of legacy.
