Hello Everyone,
I'm a relatively new ham and I purchased TYT TH-9800D as a mobile and base unit. I have frequencies stored in my Baofeng UV5R that I would like to upload to my TH-9800. After a lot of searching, I got the programming cable and driver working for the 9800D. I imported the frequencies from my UV5 into CHIRP without any problems. I then go to "Upload to Radio" and the 9800 does not show in the CHIRP list.
I am able to use the 9800 software to query the radio and read what is on the radio (see my attachment). So I know the cable works. So my question is how can I use CHIRP to upload the frequencies if it doesn't recognize that the radio is there? Or is there a way to import the CHIRP file into the TH-9800 software and then upload the file to the radio?
Hopefully, someone else has had this issue and it's an easy fix!!
?
Thank you,
