I am surprised that the locations of the wires on the ENI transformer and the Lionel transformer are different.? Double check that.
?
Here¡¯s how the Lionel transformer mounts:
?
The two tabs on the frame go through two slits in the board and, then, the tabs are bent toward each other until they are tight against the board.? You could mount the transformer to the board by using a small drill bit to make several holes in a row and then us a sharp knife to connect the holes to make a slit.? Just be careful you don¡¯t crack the board.? I would probably use a Dremel tool to connect the holes and make a slit.

hi Lenox,?
the ENI transformer just sits flush on the board and held on by the six wire pins through the board.? ?and it looks to my untrained eyes that the Lionel uses the same 3 winding transformer as the LENi/ENI.? and sure, what do I have to lose in trying one these out.? ?thanks for the link.? ?
and further examination,? these Lionel transformers will require some creative wiring to put on the ENI board.? But - no problem for me - a bobby pin and duct tape expert.? creative wiring and soldering is my specialty. and I guarantee it won't be pretty, but it will work? :)? ?
