I have regular paste flux, more like waxy ointment really and copper de-soldering braid. I have removed a few SMD resistors before using a doubled over two pronged wire on a soldering iron. The part

This stuff plus the braid. Dab some of the flux from the tube, apply some of this low melt solder on the pads, swish it clean with the braid. Then put a little dome of the low melt on each pad. Hold

270pf and 180pf capacitor swap on QMX
I decided to make the swap on my early version QMX which had these caps reversed in position in the instructions. The easiest and safest way is to clip the leads and replace them. Anybody have 270pf

Yep- got the caps and made the replacement, and saw no significant difference. 20m was slightly higher and 30m slightly lower but that could just have been from moving the toroids around :) Thanks -

Need 1 pf cap
Need one 1.0 pf ceramic disc capacitor low volts (<15 vdc) with .250"(6.4 mm) or less. Would accept two if you have a bunch but need just one.
