Canadian Pacific Could Be Buying Or Having Interests In British SCI(Sea
Containers International) and A Stake In India's Concor.

Heard today March 16, CP could be taking up a stake or takover of
British(Bermuda based) Sea Containers Ltd., a diversified passenger
transport company, coastal ferries in UK, Scotland, Ireland, from
Uk-France, Scandinavian luxury ferries built like cruise ships, plying
the waters between Norway-Sweden-Finland-Denmark-Germany-Estonia. Sea
Containers Ltd. operates port facilities in Britain.

In the railway passenger business it owns Great Western Eastern which
operates 115 passenger trains on a normal working day including service
to Scotland, and plans adding more trains to its rail-passenger
business.

Sea Containers- owns the "Silja Line" which plies routes on the Baltic.
The company operates the World's largest fast ferry fleet, 16 craft,
plus 11 coventional ferries on 23 routes from 11 countries.

Sea Containers Ltd. manages the" Great South Pacific Express" tourist
train in Australia between Brisbane-Cairns.
Sea Containers owns "Orient Express Hotels" who actually manages the
above train. The hotel subsidiary operates 35 hotels-Four in the South
Pacific, five in South Africa, two in Southeast Asia, four in South
America, six in North America, eleven in Europe, three in the United
Kingdom.

Concor:
From what I understand India based(New Delhi based) "Container
Corporation of India" provides rail-container movements from major
Indian ports to and from inland terminals on Indian Railways.

Other CP News:
New SD90-h 6,000 hp was observed at Port CoquitlamB.C. diesel shop
whcich had arrived from Revelstoke, B.C. approx. 0700. And was due to go
back east later today on train #402

Former CPR Modern Light 4-6-2 1293:
News today say's ex CP light modern G-5 Class 1293(built 1948) could be
slated returning to Canada from tourist excursion railway Ohio Central.
Locomotive 1293 is supposed to be slated for the new Pacific Wilderness
Railway, a new Victoria, B.C. excursion railway that will commence
operations this June from Victoria north to Malahat Pass and return
oveer a two hour run. Three trains will operate the service nothbound
and southbound per day. Trains are supposed to operate with 11 cars.
Two of their GP-10 units were spotted at Port Coquitlam today units
#705, #706. Heavy-weight passenger cars were supposed to be in the yard
also-but hidden away.
