According to Diesel Era 4104 and 4105 were both retired on June 20, 1975.
Unit 4105 was scrapped at Ogden shops (Calgary). I believe that 4104 along
with 4065 were preserved, I know for a fact that 4065 currently sits at the
Museum of Natural Science in Ottawa at the rear of the facility. I took
photos of this unit when I visited the museum late last year, it is in rough
shape, the paint is badly faded and corrosion is most evident. As far as
4104 goes I here that it is in the Ogden shops and may be used for the new
CP excursion passenger train through the rockies.
Can anyone confirm that this is indeed the case or if this unit was actually
preserved?
