Re: Disable WebUI
Farhan,
That makes sense.
For basic radio operation, I can use the gtk screen.? When I want a digital operation, I can either open the Chrome interface on the gtk screen or use a remote computer to

Re: Disable WebUI
Hi Evan,
thanks for the hint. I commented this line https://github.com/afarhan/sbitx/blob/28ab6665c466cb393412b40a36e2621010aa49dd/sbitx_gtk.c#L4399. Works great. I still can open the web interface

Re: Disable WebUI
Evan,
The old UI still works as it did. However, things like the logbook, ft8
sequencing, telnet, etc., are all working only in the webui.

Re: Disable WebUI
Farhan,
I can close the Chrome interface, but the radio still works.? Are you saying the Chrome interface needs to stay up to have all the radio functionality?

Re: Disable WebUI
The gtk is now behind the webui. For instance, much of the FT8 messaging is
done in javascript on index.html. The logging is also functional only on
the web UI.

Re: Disable WebUI
loopMasta,
I believe that the "chrome" UI is opened on line 4190 of sbitx_gtk.c
open_url("http://127.0.0.1:8080");
Try commenting the line out, and rebuild the sbitx software.? You must do this

Disable WebUI
Hi all,
is it possible to disable the webUI Chrome app on startup of the sBitx software? I only use the webUI on a remote computer.
Thx

Do you have any favorites with any other radios you use?? For the bandwidth of the uBitx, you don't need anything very fancy but small differences of overall efficiency and how good the speaker's

If you are using it in the shack and not portable use the biggest speaker you can. I had a 6 inch bookshelf speaker laying around out of it’s cabinet and it sounds like good AM to me when compared

uBITX v6 case build and Speaker

I'm working on a uBITX v6 basic kit that did not include a speaker. What would be a good-sounding and quality aftermarket speaker?
I'm building the case around the speaker and a 3.5" Nextion display

Re: sBitx Developer’s Edition (v1) — how to protect the RPi4?
f,
7805 or better yet the LM317 makes an ok audio amp in a pinch.
The input signal modulates the control voltage.
Personally I like the 555 timer amp,? true

Re: sBitx Developer’s Edition (v1) — how to protect the RPi4?
Thanks, guys -- keep those ideas coming! I bought NEW, longer ribbon
cables and was very careful connecting them. I think I'm doing something
wrong that the Pi2 couldn't display the SBITx screen

Re: sBitx Developer’s Edition (v1) — how to protect the RPi4?
Pi2 display packages do not have the variety the pi4 does. Pi4 early
versions vary too
I had to use vga adpter and old pc monitor to use my first pi4 .
Strange

Gordon, last week I had a similar experience. The screen on my V2 was dark! Since I had a DE with its own working screen I was able to swap parts to held isolate the problem. It turned out to be a bad

Can you point me to the documentation on how to set the clock speed?? It would also help to know how to bypass the 5 volt regulator on the board.
