Re: uBitx sound
Everyone has different needs. I personally like the bandwidth as it stands. On 80m nets in a crowded band, the narrow bandwidth is a big help in isolating net members from others only 2khz away. I

Re: New VK4PLN Audio Daughter Board + BCI
The PGA-103 is nice utility amp but too much gain for uBitx.? It needs more like a grounded gate Jfet (10db is enough).? A wideband high gain without band limiting(tuned) will cause all sorts of

I have a tendency to over fuse. One on the hot one on the ground. Will the BITX40 be happy with 13.8 volts?

Re: uBitx sound
The filter on my ubitx seems narrow. By feeding in a 1000 hz signal into the mic input and measuring the power output and then going up and down in the audio frequency I seem to have about a 1650 hz

Re: Power supply question
Hi George, If you don't know (remember) and you ask a question then it isn't a dumb question :) Your power supply does not 'force' 20 amps. It tries to 'force' 13.8 volts and it will until it gets to

Should work fine. I'd add a 3 Amp fuse inline on the +12v from power supply? to Bitx40 to keep explosions down to a minimum. Jerry

Re: Power supply question
Your powersupply will only supply the amount of current the radio needs. So for your powersupply , you will have no problem and it will only be loaded with a few amps , depending if your in rx or tx
