Gregg well this is what I am using -- https://mfjenterprises.com/products/mfj-4103 it has an adapter to fit the ft817, and I forget the size of the native connector - check to see if it matches what

The QRP-labs 10W IRF510 push-pull amp is extremely well behaved. The raw parts cost for the qrp-labs amp would almost double with RD* parts. But yes, using the IRF510 does present more of a challenge
