Re: designer mods
The only mention of the radio needing mods to be legal is on the ubitx.net page, It reads as follows. *WARNING:* AS shipped, your ubitx probably will not be compliant with emission requirements. It has

G1WDF, V4 was a audio amp mod only from TDA2822 to discrete transistor and? it brought out a few test points.? Same circuit for RF and same issues. Maybe when V5 happens.

Re: Low output on CW UBITX
From the last mixer to the antenna CW and SSB are same. I've seen at least two with a wrong 40M LPF, though it was TX power amp but 80 and 20 had higher power than 40. Seems the coils had about half

Where exactly? is C4? I just can't see it? - neither in the schematic nor on the board?

Re: software problem
Jeff, Appears that you are trying to compile just a single ".ino" file (i.e. ubitx_20).? You are missing the remaining required .ino files in the directory as supplied by HFsigs. Not the best coding

Re: [BITX20...build idea
A short length of heat-shrink tubing, just length of the shaft and a size that will shrink nice & tight, will usually take up the slack between this shaft size and a more standard 1/4" knob opening.

Re: software problem
It depends. If the function is used before it's defined, yes. The IDE is supposed to get around this problem, but I've had times when only the addition of a prototype fixed it. I cannot isolate the

I couldn't find the right volume knob too. So I ended up finding those wire connectors with two vertical screws. In the end, admittedly it is a bit ugly, but does well the job.

Oops! Read the wrong function. There should be a function prototype for si5351bx_setfreq(). Try adding its prototype near the top of the code if it's missing or not in a header file. Jack, W8TEE -----

If you mean 12.5 volts, that should work. you need about 3 amps or more. Check the voltage at the power supply when receiving and transmitting to see what it is doing. Curt
