#bitx40help
Sergio,
In many bitx40 there has been bad solder in L1, L2 or L3. Please check with multimeter and resolder if required.
In some the TRIFILAR transformer also have solder problem and some winding

Thank you, you're so kind
Now I will try to do what you suggested and visually check all the solderings on the cards. Unfortunately I do not have an oscilloscope
I confirm that he receives nothing!

Re: Bitx40 low volume oscillation squeal
I found a 1K to 10K resistor in the same place stops the instability.
My first board at 0 volume used to growl !!

even if the buyer has paid for India post.
I think this is because the local post office is getting overloaded. I

Re: Transmitter Mods
How and why does this mod work? What was the calculation that came up with 220pF and 27 uH??
For the inductor does it matter how many ma it can handle or what it’s self resonant frequency

Re: Replacement for the blown tda2822
Discrete? Wonderful!? I'm wondering how many with blown TDAs have tapped off from the VOL pot to feed an external amp? Could be a? case for a 4-pin header:

UTP is best for balanced circuits. It gives a minor shielding to single-ended signals, but its use there is mainly just for grouping, keeping 'looms' tidy. The copper bulk of multiple wires can give a

Re: #ubitx Fm/Am mode

To use this on any full carrier mode you would have to derate the
output power significantly. From 10watts SSB to about 2watts on AM or
FM. Even then you would probably have to significantly beef up

I find it interesting that the ubitx tunes well down past the AM broadcast band. Makes a nice AM receiver.
