开云体育Hi Folks …I bought the same kind of case for my uBITX and found it a nice home for my transceiver. ?I bought a small switcher from Jameco (I know, switcher and noise and stuff … but I’ve found it to be a nice quiet supply) and had plenty of room in the box for all the stuff I needed. ?I put in a little buck converter to drop the 14 v from my supply (I had cranked it up a little) to 12 v for the board and 14 v for the PA. ?I made sure that all the cabinet pieces were grounded (they were all thin sheet metal) and have had no problems with ground loops or associated crosstalk. I matched the color with my labels printed on glossy photo paper and used spray on adhesive to put them on the front and back panels. ?You can see that I made some placement decisions after drilling most of the front panel because the speaker grill almost covers up the Function button ?:-( . ?Still, we’re both a work in progress, so I can handle small deviations from excellence. The back panel has an AC and a DC plug. ?The switch above the AC input turns off the power to the little power supply inside (I didn’t want it to be powered up all the time … so I have two switches to turn off). ?The little toggle switch allows me to switch between the two supplies. ?I couldn’t help myself, so I had to put in two antenna connectors for flexibility. ?The USB port is brought out so I can update the Raduino software … it currently is running Dr. Lee’s 1.061 software (and, it’s GREAT). I use it to check into the Utah Beehive Section level net every day on 7.272 MHz at 12:30pm local time. ?Net control varies from 700 miles away to 250 miles away, so I seem to get out with a 10w signal. ?I haven’t had any luck with the Sunday 7:00pm CQ attempts, but it seems to be a real sweet machine, otherwise. I’m looking forward to trying some of the digital modes as soon as I can get an old PC talking to the internet and can get my head around hooking things up to the uBITX. 73, Bob KE7QEQ See pix below:
