A "grounded gate" of what, Marco?
Not of the IRF510 or any other MOSFET.
The current through the device is determined by the gate voltage.
with a gate at 0v, the current through the device is

Grounded Gate with a pair of IRF510's in push-pull configuration is
interesting. I may
have to try it sometime. In tube technology the grid is placed between

Re: ant tunner
Webpage says 15W max, the uBitx can do more than that.
Could be the tuner is good at 15W only if the antenna presents a reasonably low SWR, anybody know?

Re: ant tunner
I cheat. I have the same tuner but use a Youkits FG-01 antenna analyzer to tune the tuner, then connect the tuner to my QRP rigs. I also use it traveling with different end fed antennas and light

Re: ant tunner
Look at the Emtech ZM-2 its a fun build not to pricey and works great!
It tunes almost anything and getting 1:1 is easy.
I have used mine for some time now and love it, wouldn't trade it for the

Re: Looking for NOS or Pull with good leads 130 Ohm 3w
Ok so its done!
specs are as follows
24v Source 5w drive
Total amps CW key down 2.998
on 40m got just short of 40w out
swr on all bands
160m = 1.02
80m = 1.04
40m = 1.10
30m = 1.16

Rig Control (GRIG, and other similar software)
Much of recent CAT related discussions on this group seems to have focused
on the
radio end of the control scheme. Only a few comments have mentioned
commercial
and non-commercial PC software to work

Thank You Mark,
Define ¡°not working?¡±
Do you still get any output on the display? Just black squares. My guess
is there is no program loaded.
Do you get any audio out the speaker at all?

Re: Raduino logic levels
The Nano can work at anywhere from 2.8 to 5.5, so it¡¯s not phased by seeing 3.3v on it¡¯s input.
I2C is an open collector bus, meaning none of the devices on the bus actively drive the bus high,

Greetings!
I am still having problems understanding how to do #Bitx40 Firmware updates.? I wired up the needed mods for CW.? I still had a working (SSB only) Bitx40.
I tried to update the firmware

Re: ant tunner
A good way to establish initial settings is to set both capacitors to mid-point and tune the inductor to hear maximum noise from the receiver.? Then use the capacitors to peak the noise further.?

Go here:
http://www.mpja.com/LCD-Displays/products/361/
You can get both 2 and 4 line displays. No relationship to the company, just a recurring customer.
