the ubitx has more gain on tx as well as rx than the previous boards. this is due to the BFR93w transistors in the 45 MHZ IF in place of the 2N3904s.?
The carrier and spurs will be appear to be higher if the tx gain (controlled by RV1) is running flat out. it is best to reduce this to about 60% of the full gain. A way to know this is to connect a 50 mv audio signal to the mic, transmit SSB on 7 MHz and reduce the power until it is around 7 watts.

Something is possibly oscillating ?and something is the demodulating most likely??; sounds like you have created a regenerative receiver!! ?Maybe add filter capacitor close to the unit between the power leads.? ?

Mine sounded ok and carrier suppressed enough at BFO set to 11.055.5

I agree with Vic that the standard selection should be the CW offset option. I can not see
why anyone would not use CW this way. But I am open to be convinced.

Found this video explaining CW Zero-beating. So based on this explanation the following is illustrated

for 7.040.000: Dial displays 07.040.000, you transmit on 07.040.000, and the receive is offset by the sidetone value.


Of course this is based on the video being correct.

It will be + or - depending on the bands, try on 14.050 and check with the websdr the exact frequency. About the logging mismatch, consider who uses vintage equipment without digital readout. I believe they consider the band as such, not the exact frequency as such. When I send logs for contests I send default frequencies, such as 7050 and had never a problem. I can't be sure abt lotw btw.

Just to help make things clearer, I did the screen for 7 inch. It is based on the features at that time. I built some enhanced graphics etc.
I have not updated the 7 inch to reflect the latest versions features.
