Farhan,

That link for PDF seems split into two where the left most is the new version and right most is old one!

Re: The new uBITX boards are here

jerry,

yep, that's it. There are very subtle changes to the PCB layout. I have brought the audio connector in-line with the raduino connector. This will help us in the future while using a DSP enabled controller board like the JackAl.

Cap C81 at the Q90 emitter is now 470pf instead of 0.1uF to reduce gain on the low bands
in that first stage of the transmit amp chain.

RD15/RD16's can be stuffed as an alternative to the IRF510's without having to cross the source and drain pins.

Is that it?

Jerry?

This is because your ISP is saving money.? Frequently accessed links may be cached by your browser, your router/firewall, by a proxy server, or by your ISP depending on how things are configured.?? Give it a day or so and the page should have been refreshed.

I see the old one still. ?CTRL-F5 doesn¡¯t refresh on my Mac but I did refresh and also tried it on another browser that I¡¯ve never used to go to HFSignals, still the old v3 schematic.

Rah, the new schematic shows up in the ¡®Circuit Description¡¯ tab but the link from the schematic brings up the Raduino circuit. That link needs to be fix to see a larger printable version.?
Thanks Farhan for updating the board and information.?

All in all, the changes are 'backward compatible' . That is, you can hack these changes to the previous boards to get in the new functionality. I have updated the circuit diargrams on . The earlier board's circuit diagram has moved to?

I can't see why not. However perhaps a better choice is, from memory, the HF Packer. I had one but sold it when I moved. I am wishing I had not. Please Google the amp. I am sure you will be pleased by its attributes.

Raduino 4 Line Single Sided PCB boards

Rahul Srivastava

Hi! Friends,

I have designed a homebrew friendly Single sided PCB for Raduino in a form factor of 20X4 line LCD. This board? supports 2 line display as well. I have added some minor edits to orignal Raduino schematics that is self explanatory namely few more electrolytics, separate Analog Digital ground plain, Nano module on component side to make it plugable. Largely thru hole components but SMD pads also included for coupling and decoupling caps.

All fabrication files are being made Open Source for personal and club use only. Please verify the Gerbers before making the board. Your feedback is highly appreciated for any further improvements.

Enjoy & 73

Rahul VU3WJM

Re: BITX40 CW Carrier Mod - CW Waveform shaping ? #bitx40

I verified that the stock uBitx code does correctly shut down clk0 and clk1 during CW transmit.
Turning them back on takes awhile, as all the computations get redone and all pertinent si5351 registers loaded.
We could speed this up by several milliseconds by talking only to the si5351 clock enable register
Might be significant for some high speed CW operators.

// At start of CW transmission:
i2cWrite(3, 0xfb);? ?// clk2 on, clk1 and clk0 off? ?

// At end of CW transmission:
i2cWrite(3, 0xf8);? ?// clk2 and clk1 and clk0 on

You also must change clk2 to the operating freq and back.

Jerry

On CW transmit, the VFO is moved to the operating frequency, and we can shut down clk0 and clk1 entirely if we wish.
If clk0 and clk1 remain active during CW transmit, we could be transmitting stuff from the mike at at 45mhz minus the operating frequency.
