BPF's
I am building up my own external BPF's for 80/40/20. I need to coat the windings to hold them in place. Can I use a spray clear coat? Will it affect the inductance? 73 Ken VA3ABN

Microwave that tap washer alongside a glass of water. A microwave oven needs something to absorb all that energy. I once tried microwaving half the recommended amount of popcorn. The magnetron

Re: tuning step size for the SI5351 / Radunio version
It could definitely be annoying if the tuning rate isn't set to your preferences. I used symbolic constants (e.g., #define INCREMENT) to set the increment and the time delay in the code before the

Re: tuning step size for the SI5351 / Radunio version
The encoder with variable increment step could be made to work well. On the other hand, I have a Tecsun consumer radio that does that and it annoys me no end how it more or less arbitrarily flips

Jerry I had switched my vfo to a DDS, so I have no experience with the pot as an encoder. I did find my volume very scratchy and switched to a new audio taper pot. 73 Ken

Re: BITX40 - 50Khz birdies
Possibly from oscillator of Arduino? Or if the LCD has an LED back light. I have noticed LEDs that light up my microphone buttons do this. Regards Dave G4UFS

BITX40 - 50Khz birdies
Hi, BITX40 and Arduino connected. LCD 16x2 and rotary encoder. Notice there are some birdies at approx 50Khz distance. Anybody noticed this also and know the root cause? Ron - PA3FAT

Can anyone that's already received a BITX40 tell me if you get any emails that confirm when the order is shipped or even maybe a tracking number? Or is it just a surprise when it shows up? Thanks,
