In the circuit description L4 is still there as is the tuning know on the vco.
In the wiring read UME, assume you refer to VOLume.

Not sure, but the tuning pot and the regular vco in combination with the DDS signal. Isn’t that interfering.
L4 shouldn’t this be removed? Still see the tuning still in the scheme. Think
