Re: LIVE icon added to bitxmap.com

I was able to display my "Live" icon.? Did not see any other Live icons at that time.
Man is never satisfied with what he has.? Now, it would be nice to be able to see a list of "Live" stations along with their frequencies.

It would also be nice if someone could design a case for 3D printing.

Greetings Jack,

I am interested in the keyboard CW keyboard/keyer chapter you offered. The CTS has returned after three operations, and over two years of recovery time. Still enjoy CW, but spend most times listening on the sidelines, and not getting in on the fun. The various keys are on the desk, but used rarely. Thank you.

I have come across an un-built, in-opened Bitx40 kit from Nov. 2016 I'd be willing to let go for $50 shipped ConUS. Let me repeat that - the package is unopened, still sealed tight just as HFSIGNALS sent it to me.

The details of this discontinued, no longer available kit are here:

This would be a great project for the current shelter-in-place situation, and there's plenty of time to sort out the build before ARRL Field Day next month, when the bands will be rich with targets for this QRP Radio.

Hi Amie,

From ver5 on, I think the rigs are designed to have the 10m LPF in at all times.? Since this help with reducing upper harmonics, and there is no harm to leave it on all the time, you might want to do this too.

Re: CW Menu missing CEC v1.2 Ubitx v6

Thank you Vic, Those do open, however, the 3.5" basic HMI file is the 2.4" or 2.8" file size on the 3.5" screen.? That is from the Editor view.? The other links are full-screen versions, where the backgrounds were expanded, and other edits made to use the full screen.? The 2.8" version is already full screen.

Not sure why the link that I got from the HamsKey site was corrupted.? I will need to scan my computer again just to be sure I do not have an issue.

Again, Thank you for getting back to me.

Re: CW Menu missing CEC v1.2 Ubitx v6

Evan, I never used the editor, and just downloaded and installed first the V2, and later the V3 GUI software to my 2.8" Nextion, so I can't speak to the problems you mention. However, the link you reference seems different to what I get following the KD8CEC links:

so perhaps try those?

Re: TX / RX uBitx V6 relay sticking

As others have said, they are through-hole. I have had little luck removing multi-pin through-hole components in the past so decided to try one of the 'low temperature' solders, like ChipQuik. This worked very well and clean-up afterwards was also very straightforward. YMMV of course, but I can only say what worked for me.

Re: Microphone capsule Manufacturer #v3

I have very good luck with JLI elements. I have used this one on both uBitx and Bitx40's in the past.

They make a number of other elements that may also work in 1-2$ range.

I don't remember about the rig transmitting CW in SSB mode as I modified the CEC software after initial install. But if it is there it would be for tuning purposes I suspect.
