5.1 SOFTWARE MANUAL
To All,
Does anyone know where I can get a copy of the current 5.1 ubitx software manual? Does it exist? What about the KD8CEC ver 1.2? software/firmware manual? The only one I can find is KD8CEC's ver. 1.071. I have just finished building my ubitx 5 with the Inkits case and would like more info. Thanks, 73's Paul KD9JYV |

Hamp,
I don't know if you ever got your reply from Al but I just made his adapter for my uBitx 5 and it works great. I made it just like the picture and schematic. Hope this helps, 73's Paul KD9JYV |

I have a ubitx?? original in a tentec enclosure and a 40 meter ssb bitx in a plastic enclosure for sale.
Both work as expected....? so many projects ....TOO many projects,,, 60 USD for the bitx???? 120 USD? for the ubitx? in tentec encl...? both plus freight?? should fit in USPS? 15$ box, I MADE A LIST OF STUFF INCLUDING THE UBIT STUFF, BUY WITH ANOTHER 180 ITEMS. if you want the list email me separately- off reflector for a copy by email.? ? ? ?? ny9h@... While the list is titled ESTATE SALE...it should have been? PRE- estate sale. my apologies... the National HRO , Johnson Navigator and the Central Electronics are gone. Re: Band pass filter
2.2mH is a large value. I guess its purpose be protection against statics. 1uH has is a low impedance at MW providing some highpass but maybe not enough in presence of a nearby station. Try it in any case. Il 16/nov/2019 04:15, "MVS Sarma" <mvssarma@...> ha scritto:

Re: Band pass filter
Lots of data here already. An AM station antenna is actually the very tall tower itself,? should be easy to see where it is. But you might have other interference sources there. If you can take your ubitx to a park with a battery and many feet of wire, see if it receives better there. Some have to enjoy their ham radio away from home because of interference. Do see if the bad interference at home is on every ham band.

Is there a larger 2 line display we could substitute directly for visually impaired or for mobile use thats easier to see??Yes there are somewhat larger common 16x2 displays. I can't speak to 'direct' replacement, (not interested in doing that homework) but these have I2C modules and 6800 parallel library support. Look at the datasheet and see if the size is what your after.? The rest should be simple software changes, if needed at all.? |

Re: Prewired 16x2 blue display
It seems the problem is mainly about soldering technique or general electrical repair.
One tip I have is to plug the female connector on to the male connector. Use quality solder and additional flux. along with a clean tip.? Solder a pin near each end then move around so you don't heat them in kind. A bit like tightening lug nuts on a wheel.? -- 73 Dave k0mbt |
