When zbitx owners think that this gap should be filled, when one of the owners will formulate it.
The history of sbitx was also formed and written on the fly. Because whoever felt the energy to formulate and develop it is still developing there.
zbitx is a simpler version of sbitx, see the firmware used also uses the name sbitx, but it doesn't know nearly as much. You can buy it for half the price of sbitx.

Can¡¯t seem to edit my previous post to add a picture, so here it is.

Re: ZbitX replacement knob?

I bought these ones off amazon for my g90, and they just happen to fit the zBitx as well. Nicely knurled aluminum with a rubber band around the middle for extra grip

Re: zBitx speaker noise? #zbitx

Playing around with it a bit tonight - seems that a bit of shielding between the pi and the board may help, especially with some of the noises. I'm getting screen update noise and a periodic crunchy noise, and the latter was most obviously affected.

I just received mine last night, but your video is the same as what mine is doing. I'll have to play around with some shielding of the pi. Thanks!

Search Xiegu G90 Knob on Amazon. The first few choices that pop up are what your looking for.?

ZbitX replacement knob?

Hi,
?
I am looking for a nice metal replacement knob for the ZbitX. Would be nice if it had a tuning dimple or knurled edges.
?
Prefer a vendor on eBay, Amazon, or Mousser or someone in US.
?
Has anyone replaced theirs?

Re: Sbitx v3 HW_settings.ini gone- how fix?

Newbie questions:
?
First, thanks for pointing out the Wiki that I had not yet located.
?
Second, I am new to these rigs and documentation. ?Just reading and learning while I wait for the zBITX to clear the order queue. ?I have found several forks of the zBITX on GitHub and several appear to be verbose with documentation (good, but not yet read¡). ?Is there a more focused Wiki than the one below for the zBITX? ?

Other documentation links and suggestions requested and appreciated! ????

Re: zBITX Crashes - Suspect Memory Leak #zbitx

Miguel,
?
That is great.? ?The CPU utilization went down with my changes.? And swap memory is not being used at all.? Maybe that is contributing to what sounds like nearly full QSK.
?
Iambic B has more strict timing requirements.? The system is still busy with some unnecessary stuff, and probably cannot handle that more strict timing .? I think it probably needs to be restructured as a state machine, with dedicated states for each Mode .? And with Iambic, Iambic B, and Straight Key Mode each being a separate state.? And when transmitting, each Mode would have the full attention of the CPU.? What is there now looks like a lot of 'add ons' were accommodated by blending them in.? ? ? ?
?
With a Straight Key, where the CW timing is not as predictable as iambic, I keep my Semi-QSK Delay at 500ms,

Thanks for the heads up.? I was just wondering if anyone had an estimate of when that might be?

Re: Update On Shipping Delays from HF Signals

Mine was on hold for the weekend, and arrived late last night. That's normal for DHL I believe.

Re: Sbitx v3 HW_settings.ini gone- how fix?

I can see that if the message is not aimed at you, then you do not understand what is concerning you.
You need to learn to interpret what you read.
Any version of sBitx reads the data necessary for operation from the hw_settings.ini file.
If for some reason the original hw_sttings.ini is lost, then you rename the default_hw_settings.ini file to a file without default, i.e. hw_setting.ini.
This will make your hardware work, but it may not be as efficient as with the .ini file assigned to it.
You write that you are stuck. Think, read and do:
buy several 64 GB uSD cards (and/or USB sticks) for backup and updates, always keep an original one that you modified.
I recommend the 64GB one because it is faster to write and read.
In the previous message I wrote the two links because you reiterate that you want to switch to 64-bit.
If you do, then you have a working system and you may not even need to correct hw_settings.ini.
Create the ELF Image on a new uSD card, with this v4.2 sbitx and many useful utilities will be partially set up.
Partly because you have to enter personal data in each of them. With this you can already radio.
After that you can refine it, because the Image was made in December 2024, which has been updated since then, you also need to update them.
First update the sBITS Tools application and note its use, because what you can do. Use the EZ Data app to save daily data to an external USB stick.
When you use sbitx, before turning it off, make a copy of the files that changed that day on a USB stick.
LOG file and settings (ini file), if you have changed it, otherwise it is enough to make a backup once. Of course, if you can handle it reliably.
By the way, I don't understand the reference to drive F or E.
The sbitx 64 bit is installed on Bookworm OS and you can make a Backup with the Accessories -> SD Card Copier application in the Debian 'Raspberry' menu.
Backup is not copied under Windows.

Jim,

As Farhan mentioned in his message, we will begin taking orders for the V4 once we clear the backlog of zBitx orders we have right now.

sBitx or zBitx: Analyzing the FT8 messages in my application

I'm interested in analyzing the received FT8 messages in a software (e.g., a Python script) to detect messages from DX entities which I'm especially interested in.
In case of sBitx, it can be a script running on the radio itself. In case of zBitx it can be a script running on a connected laptop or smartphone.
Is such a functionality already supported, or should I patch the software myself?

Jim,
please ask Farhan the same thing.
How are we supposed to know what he's planning?
For example, I am not a mind reader, but I am excellent at correcting by laying on my hands. ;-)

Due to the size of the zbitx, the best solution is to expand the SD card, because the USB port is not enough to use a USB stick.

Trouble is, to swap the SD card REQUIRES disassembling the radio - at least removing the case. Not an "in the field" friendly operation. Having a proper shutdown command sent to the Raspberry Pi greatly reduces the chance of SD card corruption.
