Re: sBitx v2 Spectrum / Waterfall
Mark, Unfortunately, no. The current implementation (see rx_process in sbitx.c) has 2048 bins spread over 25 khz. So, each bin is about 42 Hz.? There are no signals that are narrower than this so make narrower spectrum will serves little purpose. If you tune in a cw signal you can see the spread over at least 3 bins. We can take the samples and run another fft to get finer bin size but it will only be of cosmetic significance. - f On Sun, Apr 23, 2023, 9:30 PM Mark Erbaugh <mark.election@...> wrote: Pardon my ignorance on SDR processing. |
sBitx v2 Spectrum / Waterfall
Pardon my ignorance on SDR processing.
It seems that when you select the narrower bandwidths the FFT bin frequency size stays the same. ?IOW, say there are 200 bins at 25 kHz bandwidth, each bin represents 125 Hz. When you change to 2.5 kHz bandwidth, each bin still represents ?125 kHz, each bin just gets wider on the screen. Would it be possible to change the bin width to 12.5 Hz so that there is more resolution when you select a narrower bandwidth? -- 73, Mark, N8ME |

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýPetr?Yes did that also. The switch is faulty. Ashhar is going to have sales send a new pcb.? Thanks for your suggestion.? 73 Art N2AJO? On Apr 23, 2023, at 09:55, Petr Ourednik <indians@...> wrote:

Re: Sbitx v2 Function Knob
Art,
I know that maybe you all tried already but in case > it all looks like disconnected or not detected Vol encoder in V2. As you confirmed on last vid that swapped encoders PCB from DE unit work it means that the rest of V2 is ok (happy to say) so did you tried to re-heating the soldered pins of Vol encoder to avoid cold-joint on the PCB? Also checking the tracks on PCB from encoder to socket could help. Just 2c help trial... - P |

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýAshharI removed the pcb with the two switches from my dev unit and plugged it into my V2. The vol level can now be adjusted.? On Apr 23, 2023, at 07:33, Art N2AJO <olson339@...> wrote:

I don't expect it does.? I think the manufacturer is rather generous(?) with his power output claims.

Re: pictures and videos of sbitx v2
Hi Ashhar,
It¡¯s really minor but it would be nice if there was an easy to see indication of transmit while in digital mode. ?The only indication is audio and FR sliders switch to SWR and Watts but you really have to look to see it. ?On the original GUI, it was better because the waterfall indicated a relative bar which expanded as power was increased. ?I do not see that same presentation in the web interface. Is it possible to change the cyan background around the frequency display to red during transmit? Just a suggestion, Scott |

I have this schematic which is for a 70W amp.? I think it MAY be the same as for the 100W amp.? The only difference may be some component changes.
