I have a Bitx 40, I can't help you with your problem but just had to say that I love your name ?, regards Bill (G6ATO) Bates.

Version??
I received my uBitx yesterday. Can someone explain to me how to tell which version I have. No revealing marking on the board or packing slip. Thanks Bill

Re: Nano Problem????
The push button does work, but can not change function options after that. It leaves the version up there, not sure if it suppose to or not.

Sorry all, I hit send when I meant to delete what I had partially written yesterday evening. Not a completed thought, and I didn't think my comments would really be of much help. But since I did send:

There's a 1k series resistor in the RX and TX lines? Is this what you mean by "in"?? That would slow the slew rate of the signal. A 1K pull-up to 5V, shouldn't be a problem. The K20 on Teensy 3.2 is

Re: Nano Problem????
Hi, From what I read, I don't think it would be easy to simulate the encoder with a wire.? It needs timed make-break between the two internal switches. Anyway, does the encoder press button work to

Re: Full throttle SSB distortion on 15 and 10m
Oos so ever it is, I suspect instability caused by your output wires. Shorten them to minimum or wire a coax to the board. Raj

Re: Full throttle SSB distortion on 15 and 10m
Actually my unit has always shown more than 10w on low bands, but ironically it develops that full power distortion (total noise) only on the higher bands (15-12-10m) where the power is much lower. Is

Re: Nano Problem????
This was a Factory nano from hfsignals. I removed everything I did during build up, plus removed it from ubitx board, same problem.

Re: Nano Problem????
Yes I remember this. Look carefully to see if you may have misinstalled the connectot. Mine had an extra plastic only pin, and is easy to misalign. Or missed solder somewhere. Curt

Nano Problem????
I fired up my ubitx V4 for the first time. When you turn the encoder, the frequency only changes by .050 the goes right back. I removed the encoder and used a jumper wire to try to simulate a encoder.

Re: Full throttle SSB distortion on 15 and 10m
I agree, 10W on 40 should be reference of modulation level. I have not got my hands on a v5 and when I do I will report. Raj

Re: Full throttle SSB distortion on 15 and 10m
Getting 15W on 40 is pushing for excess... should be about 10. And 2W is about all you get on 15 and 10 with out amp mods.? Likely less. More audio more power but there is a point of distortion as

Re: Low SSB output
Harvey The filter is rather narrow and if you off a little it will reduce signal.? So 33mhz and 12 mhz are not? fine enough numbers to call if they are correct. The "12mhz" should be more like

Full throttle SSB distortion on 15 and 10m
I have minimal mods (except for the Axicom I did) on my ver. 3 ubitx (still with the original firmware). The biggest addon is a SL6270C Plessey Vogad compressor between the dynamic mic and the mic

Re: Low SSB output
I will try removing the output stage voltage and see what happens. When I measured the frequency into the 45MHz filter I see 21MHz on my counter. To check if my counter is working properly, I measured
