Contact me offline. I will buy your board for what you paid for it and you can ship it to me. I like a challenge and, frankly, if you aren't having fun with it, there is no need to keep working on it. My email is my call sign at arrl dot net.? 73 de bill K7WXW

Re: Still Not Working

I just tried the brand new mic element that I had around and no difference.

I've been using the radio on receive the last few nights and it receives great with no noticeable noise other than the birdie around 7.199 and I've already read how to try and get rid of that.?

I updated the software to 1.18 a couple of days ago. The transmit issue was there with the base version firmware and with 1.18

You said you don't have a speaker connected. Do you know that your power supply is clean?? A hum could be causing the odd transmitter behavior.

Re: Still Not Working

Hi Michael, I ohm'd out a spare element that I had around and it ohm'd out the same as the other one but I'm willing to solder it up to the spare connector that I had around and give it a try, that way we can rule that out. I'll do that in a few minutes. I did resolder the mic connector just before going off the deep end in my original post here but let me give that a try and I'll report back shortly. Thanks.?

Re: Still Not Working

Have you thought to try a different microphone ??? ?If your mic element is dead you will see no change in TX current and no output.
Just a thought.

That is exactly it: he made a clear threat to to hurt Farhan¡¯s reputation and business. He might not think that¡¯s bad, but I think it¡¯s terrible. To accuse someone of criminal behaviour is really problematic.

Surprisingly, not the first time that's been asked. The answer appears to be no. However, I know of a fellow who may have just fried his raduino, and may be willing to buy one off you. Would you like me to pass along your info?

I damaged my Raduino, and replaced it with a new one, since then I have repaired it by replacing the nano, so I now have a spare.

It's the PA drive. The adjustment procedure is in the wire up docs. It's one of the adjustments you're supposed to make on it.

Sir, I'm not going to let you make this sound like something worse than it really is.

If anyone is willing to help me resolve this I would greatly appreciate it. I'm stumped and not sure what else to do. I'm used to people coming to me in my job asking for help and I've seen people much worse than my original rant earlier. I guess I've let this get the best of me but I'm willing to get back to it.?

Re: Still Not Working

The blue trimpot shouldn't do anything with the receive current, it's the PA bias. Are you measuring the current to the PA Power connector? Does the current change when you talk into the mic? Does RV136 do anything?

Vince.

I'm willing to look at your board. I'm in MD. My call is KC3BFY. I offer this service as I'm intrigued by this thread. You can find my address in the FCC database. Postage will be both ways on you,. troubleshooting will be free. I can't guarantee that I'll solve your problem, but with 40 plus years of electronics background, I'm fairly certain that I'll succeed.

The clear imputation here is that you are claiming you have been defrauded by Farhan. You are going to ¡°turn him in to PayPal¡± because you believe you have been involved in a fraudulent transaction. Fraud is a criminal offence. Your words are as clear as they can possibly be.?

Re: Still Not Working

Come on, I didn't use the words criminal offence those are your words.

This is very frustrating. I've spent hours looking over this board for imperfections, bad solder joints, somethunh not connected or issues with my own wiring. I've built a lot of kits over the years, 4 in the last month, all of which have worked or had minor problems that I was able to resolve.?

I beleive that some people are received these in working condition. I believe that these boards are capable of working. Mine is not. I am by no means an expert in surface mount technology. I'm just frustrated and disappointed more than anything. I don't feel that Mr Farman is a bad guy, there just no easy way of getting with the company and asking them to exchange my board. If I could buy a replacement for a reasonable cost I'd probably take that risk. I just want the thing to work.?

I have a handful of mainstream radios that work so I'm not without a radio and I'm not beneath spending some time troubleshooting this thing but I've exhausted my own personal resources trying to resolve the issue.?

I think it is shocking that you would imply you have been defrauded by Farhan. I don¡¯t know what to say, or what Farhan can do about it. I have had nothing but help from this forum, even when I made mistakes and had to rely on members to help me repair the damage I had caused. I have never had any doubt the design works, but it is not an Icom or a Yaesu product. It is a radio for people who like to tinker. I am sorry you cannot determine the nature of the problem with your radio, but to claim that you are the victim of a criminal offence at the hands of Farhan is really shocking. I am disgusted.
