I am building the latest JTDX from (eforge.net/projects/jtdx-improved/files/jtdx_2.2.159/Raspberry%20Pi/) on my RPi5(8gb)

However, the title bar is missing from the main window, but it's present on the Waterfall Window. This works just fine on RPi4(8gb).
?
None of the keyboard shortcuts like Ctrl+space or Alt+space doesn't work on main windows.?
?
The main window looks like it's "Undecorated"
?
Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

This *can* be an email feed. I have all except admin messages turned off, and read what I want, when I want, on the website. It's also where the wiki, files, and search lives. There's also a chat function here!

I use discord as well (and IRC!), but it's/they're useless for anything where one wants to maintain "corporate knowledge" older than a day or three.? It also fragments the info, ultimately making it harder for new folks to find info they need.

I'm still studying posts here from many years ago as I slowly learn how to design and tweak the blocks for my multiple uBITX radios. I'd never be able to find similar info from more than a couple of weeks in a discord channel.? I used to coordinate with remote team members on discord and IRC...both are impaired relative to this platform.

I don't think the main dev team has any current plans for improvements to the keyer, so I have been working on a solution that I hope they can integrate.?

The CW keyer does appear to rely on the 10-20 Hz modem polling function, which I think is too slow and is the source of our issues. I am trying to implement a different approach that relies on instantaneous RPi GPIO interrupts to bypass this function. This is the approach that many of the home-brew Arduino code oscillators use, and it seems to work very well in those devices. I am not sure yet whether interrupts will cause other issues in the sBitx software, we will see.?

I am not a professional coder, though, so it has taken me a bit of time to read and understand how the CW keyer code works. Will try to implement something in the next couple of weeks. Will report back on this thread soon.?

sBitx_log file export into cqrlog without GRID - partially solved
Today I made some QSOs and first edited the exported adif file using Notepad++.
I renamed STX_STRING to my gridsquare and
I renamed SRX_STRING to gridsquare
after that I copied it back to the RPi and imported it into cqrlog.
?
Data that was missing until now appeared in the GRID cells.
The names stx_string and srx_string were, in my opinion, poorly and arbitrarily chosen by sbitx.
I suggest that the coders consider correcting the names if possible.

The scale data in the hw_settings.ini file contains the maximum performance available in the given band.
It is worth using the data provided by the manufacturer.
But if you like variety and modify these, you will either improve or degrade the output level.
Important: always have a copy of the original data!

...just wondering: has someone tryed installing SDRPlay sw in the sBitx?
The sw "should" be binary compatible, but SDRPlay removed the images and stopped development.
However the last versions are still available in the net (the Internet never forgets...):
That doesn't mean it will actually work on different hw of course.
But it would be really nice if a double-channel version of sBITX could do diversity with SDRuno...
Sci-fi I guess...

I'm also interested in CW improvements?to the straight key response (since I sometimes use an external keyer).? ?I tried looking at devfarhan and modem_cs but I couldn't really figure out what improvements have been made.
Can someone summarize any improvements made over, say, the last year, that would improve the CW response to the straight key?? ?I last tried that months ago and my impression from V3 code was that it still had some delays.? ?Does it still check only every 10-20 times per second, and is this adequate???
