Re: Questions about full kit #ubitxv6
Mike: I think you'll find the board, as shipped, is very reliable. What you're seeing a lot of here are people who want to modify the board in various ways. Jack, W8TEE

My personal uBitx firmware has a menu entry to dump the contents of EEPROM out to the Arduino IDE serial monitor. It is unfortunate that the stock code does not include something like this, only takes

Evan, In addition to the L31,L32 filter, note that the emitter resistor in the 45mhz IF at R26 got reduced from 470 to 220 ohms, that would reduce the signal at TP1 when in CW mode. I'd tend to

Jerry, Thank you for the information! I have 2 v4s and a v5, all that the power "dips" on 40meters compared to 20.? By that, I mean that 80meters puts out 14watts, 40 about 9 watts, and 20 about

Mike, Yes, the boards are tested and calibrated at the factory.? With that being said, there have been some reports of the BFO not being optimized and fewer instances of calibration being off.? Both

They do get tested and calibrated, should just work. Some customers report issues with calibration, they find they must re-calibrate. Evan is currently investigating an issue with somewhat reduced

Re: uBitX V6 no transmit power #ubitxv6 #ubitx-help #tx
Evan, Older versions of the uBitx had plenty of power on 40m. Perhaps try reversing some of those changes between v4 to v5? The filter at L31,L32,C205 is needed to squelch the 90mhz harmonic of the

This is why I wish there were a way to edit the text after posting. The frequency that I tested at was NOT 3.55 MHz, rather it was 10.100 MHz.? The 3.550 MHz TP12 was also around 30mVpp and produced

Jerry, FYI, the v6 now has a heatsink on the 7805 regulator.? I believe that was done because of the current requirements for the graphic screen.? You are correct for all of the other versions. 73
