The best antenna? that I have used are antennas that are large loops. The signal strength is comparable to a dipole but the noise floor is lowered 10db approximately. Our previous loop was 1300' and seemed to have the best signal both on transmit and receive.
Our current loop is 2600' It performs excellent on 160 and 80m but rolls off above that. Most signals sound like they are vhf FM.? -- 73 Dave |

I received my V6 in 7 days after ordering it. That was about a week ago. Just got it working and I would definitely order one ASAP to avoid being put on a waiting list.

I don't know the specifics in India right now, but I understand the 'kits' are assembled by contract workers who pickup parts, take them home, assemble them, then return them to be tested and shipped to buyers. Based on that understanding
and given the current situation in India, it's possible that HF Signals is currently shipping product, but at best I would expect their volume to be greatly reduced.
Were I in your situation, I would order the radio and simply wait for it to ship - by ordering now, you'll get your radio as soon as possible - if you wait until the situation in India 'normalizes' you will be placed at the end of the queue
that built up between now and then.
That you aren't seeing a response to your email suggests things are, at least, running slow/behind.

I use 3x 18650 in serie with a 78h12....so 12volts and max 5A. Now? glued 2 battery paks together and have 6x 18650. I get the18650 from old bike battery's. At the moment i have 60 of them, so power enough??
At a high discharge current, Li-Ion batteries show about 3.7V each (and that's only on a near top charge battery).? So 3 x 3.7V is only 11.1 volts.? Then you have a 78h12 on it which even more messes with the voltage supply because the battery voltage drops below the level needed for it to function.? Note: Your rig may run OK wit the same battery pack if you just take out the regulator.? But even a 4 series pack may not always provide enough voltage overhead for the 12V regulator you have: 3.7V * 4 =? 14.8V 14.8V - 2.3V(typical dropout for your regulator)? =? 12.5V Once the pack starts to discharge you will drop below this and run into trouble again.? Of course a 5 series pack should be just fine (with some good heatsink on the regulator). 73, Mark |

Yah, I'd like to tell you my forfathers ?invented the Beverage antenna. ?I've investigated that but turned up little info on it's origination. ?I did have one when I was a kid building my own one tube receivers so I could lay awake at night listening to baseball games in far away places. ?I was a farm boy with lots of acreage and that antenna was probably 80 yards or so long. ?It was a simple antenna for a kid requiring no poles, hangars or much else. ?I just laid it on the ground along a fence line.

I have not see this suggestion given to you before so here goes.? Have you checked the power supply you are using, you need at least 3 to 4 amps for transmit, it is your power supply is going into current limiting and partly shutting down giving the noise. If your power supply is OK remember that you could remove the power from the final PA FET's to protect them while you test, you should still be able to hear the signal from the transmit driver on you monitor receiver. When using version 1.110 on my v6 modified?with Nextion and CEC version 1.200 I had the same error.
I did find however if I left the unit off and only connected the usb connection then it all worked fine - I could also turn on the 12v supply at that point and it still continued to work. 73 Mike G4GOU/EA7KIP |

Gordon, The I2C is brought out on a connector (similar to the ubitx wire connectors). It has 5 pins : GND,?+3.3v, 5V, A5, A4. You can connect any I2C device to it. More in an hour?or so. - f On Thu, Mar 26, 2020 at 8:55 PM Gordon Gibby <docvacuumtubes@...> wrote:

Consider his code: XPT2046_Touchscreen ts(CS_PIN); Adafruit_ILI9341 tft = Adafruit_ILI9341(TFT_CS, TFT_DC); The ILI9341 is usually associated with SPI interfaces, so doesn't use a slave address. Jack, W8TEE
