Re: The issues of the TDA2822
Neither of Jerry's recommendations are pin for pin replacements. Both of them are recommended for relatively low voltage applications, even though the maximum voltage is given as 15v or so. The idea

Ash: I think Arv is right. There are innumerable pairs of NPN/PNP transistors available which will make a good audio amplifier. They are most widely used in TV audio circuits, but appear almost

Re: The issues of the TDA2822
https://sites.google.com/site/arvidevans/discretecomponentafamplifier You can build this with a 2N3904 and 2N3906 pair for lower power or use a cheap 4A NPN-PNP pair for 8 watts or so. _._

Re: Modifying Bitx40 BPF band pass filter
Fokko If you suspect the BPF, try disconnecting it and bypassing it with a 100 pf capacitor. This will get you lots of unwanted signals as well as the desirable ones but it will tell you if the

Re: Modifying Bitx40 BPF band pass filter
Change the amplifier to a Class A amp. Do this by reducing R29 until you measure ~7 dBm out of the amplifier. Use an RF probe to make the measurement. As Satish says, that should be about 0.6v RF.
