Re: Raduino code
Ron,
You are correct, if I downgrade the Si5351 library to 1.1.2, it does compile, so for the time being that will work, thanks.

Thanks Peter for that review on Yotube. As a long time subscriber to your channel, I watch all your videos and so I watched that one too. Did not know the Bitx40 before but that cought my interest and

Re: Raduino code
Ron,
The errors I'm getting are not pointing to the libraries at all. I guess it's possible that they could still be the reason it won't compile, but it the past the error code mentioned libraries if

Re: Raduino code
Jack,
You don't need to hook it up to see if it will compile, just set the board for a Nano, right? So you are saying it is compiling fine for you? I upgraded my IDE to 1.8 and checked all my

Re: Raduino code
I can't hook up the Si5351 right now as it's "employed" elsewhere. However, using Arduino IDE 1.6.12 I have no problems compiling or linking the code. After my other project is done (or if the other

Re: Raduino code
Check if SI5351 has 1.1.2 library version installed. Did not yet check BITX40 code in details but might be the issue here.(Manage libraries, filter SI5351 and use the pulldown button on the left

Re: A more stable Bitx40 (fun with ceramic resonators)
Peter,
That is a really good idea. If I could find a CR around 4.7 to 4.8MHz to get it in the upper portion of the US 40 meter band it would be perfect. Thanks for the idea.

Re: troubleshooting the bitx40 receiver - transmitter information
I don't have my Bitx40 yet, but what you are seeing might be the characteristic Bitx "pop" when it switches the audio over to the mike amp for transmit. If that's the case, then all might be well

Re: Raduino code
I'm using Arduinio IDE V 1.6.10 and it won't compile on it either with it set for a Nano. I have all the latest Si5351 Libraries from NT7S and Adafruit, but that isn't what its complaining about

Raduino keyer
The hfsigs homepage now has a nice Christmas photo of the new Raduino driven Bitx40. Hope mine looks that good when it arrives! Also has the text: "who will be the first to the Raduino keyer?".

Re: troubleshooting the bitx40 receiver
Kent,
The red wire is just a wire acting as a antenna for injecting some signal into the circuit. The speaker is just hooked up to the BitX40 in normal fashion using the onboard audio amplifier. You
