We, unfortunately, got the displays for all just about managed to get the raspberry pis for an unimaginably high price.
The radios are all tested and ready to ship. They are just waiting for me to complete the software.
On raspberry pi 4, they changed the way the internal pullup resistors of the GPIO work. As a result, the iambic keyer and the ptt stopped working. If I can figure it out today we will open the booking over the weekend. Otherwise we will have opened up 200 packed radios and hand solder resistors.
Do you think we should have a separate group for those hacking the sbitx?

Will there be an option to buy the developer's edition without the Pi and the display? I already have those things.

HF Signals were supposed to start shipping the sbitx by 1st July, but a combination of software?bugs and shortage of raspberry pis has delayed it by two weeks. You might be able to buy it by next week.?
This should come with a caveat, the sbitx is a very ambitious project, what will go on sale will be a developers' edition?: that is, it is meant for people who are fine with pulling in newer versions of the software from the internet, finding bugs, hacking the radio, etc. It might take another few months for it to qualify as a first radio unless you are familiar with ubuntu / Linux software.
I also expect that in a few months the raspberry pi prices will ease. Yes, after the first lot of the developers edition, the boards will be available as well. I have written the software to specifically work with the official raspberry pi 7 inch display (800x480 resolution).
