That may have come across as a bit caustic, my apologies to Stephen.
He was asking a honest question.

I often see the word "welded" instead of "soldered" when looking at kits from overseas.
I suspect there are English speaking countries that may use "welded" for this as well.
Almost certainly, some languages will use the same word for both processes.
