There are add-on amps but as a stopgap measure,
to use the radio until an amp is built and added, just
use an amplified computer speaker. I use one and
am satisfied to use just one channel. Has to be a
stereo set though or you short out one channel of
the rig's amplifier circuit for example if you plug in a
mono plug.
The computer speaker I use is turned up full volume
and all audio control is with the rig's control. Try it
to see if it's enough. Others here will no doubt give
you a website where you can either buy or build an
amp that can be installed inside the radio.
