Thanks for the reply's guys. That is what I was afraid of. Personally, I had no problems with the FCI TDA2282M chip that was on my board, it worked flawlessly and didn't heat up excessively even at 13.8 volts. If Farhan hadn't got some bad chips the TDA2282M would have been a fine choice for the audio amp. Now I'm not sure what to do, I would like one of the new boards with the pop fix already incorporated, however I'm not a fan of the new audio amp. Oh well, I guess I can't have my cake and eat it too:-( BTW, I found a vaporized trace on the bottom of my V3 board and replaced it with a small piece of wire, but that didn't fix anything so I guess I will order another board. How does the V4 board work otherwise? No other problems.
