Alan,

Disregard below regarding winding direction.? What is important is that dot markings on the transformers be observed.? Can be confusing with one turn windings.

Alan,

Winding direction shouldn¡¯t matter for this circuit.? Try reversing the diode on the port with the negative voltage.

Hi Don and John.

Earth of meter placed on ground plane when i got negative reading i swapped red vm lead to earth and took the higher (8.64v now)reflected reading as forward, and the lower 0.68 as reflected.

50 watt dummy load and according to rf probe calculations i am driving 8 watts on 20m

I am going to strip it back and rebuild and reverse the toroids.It now resembles a bit of a Dogs Dinner.

I will let you know how i get on....
