I agree with Jerry's point to keep it simple.
For now I'll stick to the current concept but increase the write interval
to 30 seconds.
We can always add extra features such as "favourite frequencies" later on
(if program space permits, we're already at 70% now).
I believe for the baseline code, RIT/SPLIT functionality has higher
priority now.
