I just remembered something that might be important, but might not. ?I was using the Bitx40 last night and was making a contact. ?I was really light to him so I switched over to my other radio (TS-520). ?I forgot to shut off the bitx when I keyed up on the TS-520. ?It squealed pretty loud, but I let off the mic immediately. ?I don't know if this has any bearing on this or not.
