It's a clever solution and you're making good progress.
If you have time, don't forget to update sbitx too, because sometimes the LOG save won't work. v3.02 can already be used quite well in ft8 mode, if you don't want to QSO with stations with complex callsigns (e.g. KH0/KC0W or PJ5/SP9FIH or HS60RAST or CT9/NZ1C and similar callsigns). Because it won't work as usual with these. v3.02 is the last version currently available for download from github.
If you read the discussions, you will find that few people share their construction experiences. There can be several reasons for this. They are tired of the construction procedure or they are interested in something else and don't have time for it. I can tell you from my own experience that I enthusiastically built and wrote to the Polish forum for a while when I started building the Husarek (currently HDSP) sdr radio.
Fortunately, the structure was completed, but now I still use sBitx :-)
