Thanks for all the answers. Does it makes sense to use a dc blocking filter to mic and radio rx paths? I'm playing with csdr [1] and it is pretty cool. Just to be sure - it makes no sense to add this DC component to tx / speaker paths, right?

You seem to be confirming Gordon's suggestion that could be a constant positive DC offset to the signal delivered to the Wolfson Codec's ADC which gets reflected in the digital values produced by the Wolfson Codec ADC.

This is different from Farhan's "DC Spike" which is indeed a spike and not a constant, and is in the frequency domain, and is centered around zero Hertz.
