I have successfully got my Specan working, after finding the right Windows Specan UI software.
query on design: ?Si570 output is 400 mV pp, followed by MAV 11 amplifier and 6dB pad. This mean -2 dBm + 12 dB -6 dB = 4 dBm into the ADE-1 Mixer?
These mixers prefer +7 dBm , but guess they work at + 4 dBm?
and should I have a 0.01 uF cap between the 6 dB pad and the LO input?
My 100 MHz 2nd oscillator has a lower output signal, is this an issue?
