Re: SBitx V2 things I would like to see

1. The filter limits the bandwidth to 25 khz. One could have "scan" function that could stitch 10 of 25 khz frames of spectrum with a quick 250 khz snapshot of the band. This would put a hole in the audio for half a second, but given the hardware constraints, that is the my best idea. Another would be to add an rtl dongle at 40 MHz to give a second receiver that could provide a full 1 mhz waterfall.
2. S meter could be done, it is just that it is of very little objective value. For instance, on 40m, the noise could be 10uv and the S9 signal (identified as 50uv) is has signal to noise ratio of 12db. It should actually read as S2 (two units above noise) but the traditional meter will read it as S9. I think a bit more involved calculation based off the noise floor and bandwidth is a better option.?
3. I am looking at a few NR and NB implementations to see what will work best. I will be grateful if more hams could join the coding effort.
4. Notch filter is already in the works.

I love my sBitx V2, but there a few things I would like to see in future firmware updates?

1. ? Add 100khz as an option on the waterfall width. ?25khz is not wide enough to really search for signals?
2. ? And S-meter. I like to give accurate signal reports on a QSO. I am not one of those that gives everyone a 59
3. ? Some sort of NR (noise reduction) process
4. ? Some sort of notch filter - maybe auto notch
