Re: AnyTone AT-878UVII Plus bluetooth hands-free car audio system issues
Hi Donald,
?
my name is Victor, EA4GRG, nice to meet you and thank you for your answer.
?
My AnyTone bluetooth setup is the usual way I think. PTT BT button is paired fine and it works. I can pair with my Peugeot 2008 (2017 model): when it ask me for the PIN code I enter in the AnyTone menu and the pairing is succesful. I tried with another HT in TX and RX: when AnyTone is RXing I see it is doing but no sound are heard in the car speakers, when AnyTone is TXing (with or without PTT BT button) the other HT is receiving but nothing is heard (only a slight and low sound but nothing at all).
The AnyTone is updated with the last firmware 3.04 and its BT+APRS board is in the last firmware.
?
I'll try to reload the BT firmware to discard any other issues but I could try with a similar AnyTone (878UV) from a friend and the behavioud was the same.
?
My AnyTone wasn't bought from BridgeComm Systems and I don't know about a email support or whatever from AnyTone that I could send my issue.
?
Thank you very much again. 73. |

Hello, Vic/Victor . . .

Sánchez <vjosesan@...> wrote: The issue I'm going to describe I've posted in another forums tooI don't have your setup so I can't help directly, but have you contacted the manufacturer or seller? If the seller was BridgeComm, who probably sells more of these radios than any other company, they offer help after the sale and might know the answer. They could walk you through the setup and if there was some incorrect setting in the radio, they should catch that (with your help) when going through the setup process. Could you please use your first name and/or callsign on your posts so we know who we are responding to? It makes things a little more personal. I found it tied to your email address so it looks like it's Vic or Victor (whichever you prefer--we don't know which you like better). I find Bluetooth difficult to use with some devices, and with other devices, it's very easy. Hopefully someone will be able to help with your problem there. Just want to be sure here, have you tried a factory reset in case there's a flipped bit in the radio's software/firmware. I doubt it will fix your issue but stranger things have happened. :-) Thanks!!! AnyTone AT-878UVII Plus bluetooth hands-free car audio system issues
Hi all,
First of all I'm glad you to accept me in this group. The issue I'm going to describe I've posted in another forums too (qrz.com and eham.net) but I cannot find any solution yet so I hope anyone can help me. I'm trying to make working an AnyTone AT-D878UVII Plus HT with the hands-free bluetooth system of my car an european Peugeot 2008 from 2017. I can pairing both. The AnyTone appears as a "Telephone" profile and it's the only one I can choose. The other ones are "Steaming audio" and "Internet mobile data" and if I choose one or both of them it disconnects temporaly with an error but in this one second sound is heared by the car speakers. But althought both are paired no sound is heared when the HT is receiving and the mic from car BT hands-free neither not work when the HT is PTTd. Also the AnyTone is paired with the wireless PTT and it works fine. Both AnyTone and car multimedia system are updated with the latest release of their firmwares and it works fine with a smartphone for example. Althought I try with an AnyTone AT-878UV Plus from a friend and the same issue. I don't know what to see or configure more. Can someone help me with this problem? Thanks in advance. Regards. 73. |

Re: Anytone 878 Firmware Upgrade
I recently updated an 878UV from 1.21 to 3.02 with no problems.? Be sure you have your codeplug saved where you can find it to load into the new CPS program.? I don't think you'll be able to use firmware 3.03 because it's only for the D878UVII PLUS according to the PDF included in the download:
D878UV --- Please use the firmware D878UV_Vx.xx for updating the radio. D878UVII --- Please use the firmware D878UVII_Vx.xx for updating the radio. If you use wrong firmware for updating, the radio will remind “version error”. After load into correct firmware, it will work fine. |
Re: Anytone D578 Pro III
I never had any issue with anytone softwares and I've been using them for about 7 years. I only use RT system softwares for yaesu and icom radios. Re: Anytone D578 Pro III
You don't need the rtsystems software (money wasted). Click on this link and download the latestCPS software and Firmware 2.07 Read and follow the instructions to update your radio. Then you can create and upload your codplug. On Mon, 11 Mar 2024 at 09:29, W2LPC <w2lpc@...> wrote: Hello all. Re: Off Topic - D578 Help
You can export your 878 data using the CPS software and then import it into the 578 using the CPS software for that radio. Go to Tools>Export and click on Export All. It will save a file with a .LST extension and export all of your files as sepaerate .CSV files. Then go to the 578 CPS and select Tools>Import and click on import a .LST file. It will bring in all of your CSV files. You might get some errors (I did) but I got my Channels, Zones, and Contact List and that was really all I was interested in.
Worth a try. GL - WA9BD |

I don't have a basic code plug for you, but if the 578 uses a similar scheme for the fields in the memory database, this might work. My brother and I have Anytone radios, one of us has the 878, the other the 868. He had to open two different Anytone codeplug programmers and transfer from one to the other. I wasn't able to use his codeplug directly. I don't completely understand this, but it worked. I also don't know if you can do this between different Anytone radios. I seem to remember that you have to use the programmer for the specific firmware revision your radio has. If you're copying from one to the other, you'll need to open the donor's codeplug in the programmer for that radio's firmware revision. I might be incorrect in this, or I might have missed an inportant detail or step, as I let my brother do this and he sent me the codeplug he customized for me. I think whoever came up with the DMR thing could have made this a whole lot easier to work with! Re: AnyTone AT-778UV max operating voltage - issues at 14v
Sorry for not updating the thread. The issue actually had nothing to do with the radio. The battery I was using had a BMS that was behaving badly. It cut off way too early at the top and bottom end of the safe voltage range. I ended up bypassing the BMS for a while then just switched power sources.? The radio has been working perfectly fine. D878UVII V3.02 CPS - "TX Permit" & "DMR MODE"
Two questions about the AnyTone AT-D878UVII PLUS and D878UVII V3.02 CPS referencing the "Channel Information Edit" panel.
1. "TX Permit" setting has 4 options; - Always - ChannelFree - Different Color Code - Same Color Code The "AT-D868UV/D878UV CodePlug Programming Guide" says, "Selects PTT transmit criteria – typically Same ColorCode" I have seen code plugs that use both the "Same" and "Different" options. Requesting a better explaination of the options. Also the best choice for a DMR repeater. 2. "DMR MODE" setting also has 4 options; - DMO/simplex - Repeater - DCDM/Double Slot - DCDM TS split I have been unable to locate an explaination of these options in the Programming Guide. I have seen sample codeplus using both the simplex and repeater options. Which is the correct option for a DMR repeater? Thanks, |
AnyTone AT-778UV max operating voltage - issues at 14v
I have an AnyTone AT-778UV (Retevis RT95), and am trying to run it off of a LiFePO4 battery that when fully charged is at 14v. The problem is the radio will not turn on at 14v, and if charged up to 14v while powered on it will power off. If I drain the battery a tiny bit down to 13.9, the radio functions fine.
The specifications in the user manual states an operating voltage of 13.8V DC +- 15%. Shouldn't this mean it would work fine from? 11.73 - 15.87 volts? Does anyone else have this radio and have issues at/above 14v? It seems like in a vehicle this voltage would not be too unreasonable for an alternator to produce either. Did I just get a bad unit that does not like over 13.9v? (page 33 of the pdf, or page 29 on the printed pages for the specifications section) Thanks for any assistance, |
