pickit v3 not connecting

Kestutis Zobelius #2268 Hi all, Bought new pickit v3 and trying to modify for qrp operation. The pickit wired to atu-100pro cheked the wiring and look ok. Then pickit connected it's detected by software but then trying to read pic showing: No device detected. In the software menu the pic16 not in the list maybe this is issue??
Dave (G8PTN) All Messages By This Member #2269 Hi, If the PIC is connected is should automatically be detected by the PICkit 3 software. A few points to check. - Is the ATU powered when running the software? If not, you can power the PIC from the programmer by selecting the option. - Check that the MCLR connection is made from the programmer to the PIC. There are several posts on the forum that may help if you do a search for PICkit. You should be able to manually select the PIC16F device under the “Midrange” option, but this should not be necessary. 73, Dave
Joshua K1MI All Messages By This Member #2280 Also, I had troubles connecting the wiring between PICKIT and ATU not quite 100% correct that was causing it to not appear, but it appeared once I corrected that issue.
