Re: ATU 10, Display losing pixels when tuning?

Hi.
100pf capacitors should to present on the board and block 2 I2C lines. Also, try to block with 0.1uf input and output of 3.3V PMIC on the display board.
If nothing helps, change the display.?

Re: ATU 10, Display losing pixels when tuning?

Oops, we speak different languages. Yr picture showing you are using ATU100, while I am referring my ATU10. May be the email thread is somehow modified. Yr mod may not be applicable to ATU10.?

Anyway, tks for quick response.

wind the wires going the display through a FT50-43 toroid, two or three turns should be enough but there is no reason not to wind more..

ATU Upgrade

Hello everyone.
Thank you for accepting me into your group.
I have an ATU-10 for use in QRP but I only use version 1.4.
I saw on Github that the latest version was 1.6 and downloaded it. These are all .C or .HEX files.

How can we inject the new file in the box of agreement?

What software should I download and how do I get there?

Thank you for your help because I am not an expert in programmable electronics.

Re: "Fider loss input 0.5dB" #atu-100

Hallo Immo,
Meine Firmware ist 3.2.

Ich glaube aber Joerg lag falsch.
Es ging da eher um folgenden Punkt (original Text englisch manual):

33 ¡ª cell for setting of an addidional indication mode,
value
00 ¡ª for indicating L and C only.
value
01 ¡ª for indicating the power delivered to the antenna and efficiency of fider
and transmitter
§áwhen input power is enough for correct SWR meassuring.
By default is enable
, value 01.
Warning
!!! The device does not take into account its own efficiency.

Aber ich nehme an auch hierbei handelt es sich um kein eigentliches Problem. ?
Vielen Dank nochmals f¨¹r eure Hilfe!

Re: "Fider loss input 0.5dB" #atu-100

Hello Roby,

You can configure the loss of the feeder line (cable loss) from the ATU to the antenna.
See the documentation of configuration cell 34:

"34 ¡ª cell for setting a feeder power loss ratio, the first number ¡ª integer part of?
decibell, second number ¡ª ten¡¯s parts of decibell. Velue by default ¡ª 1.2 (12 writen?
in the cell). this value uses for counting the power delivered to antenna. The loss?
value can be found in the reference data for the used cable or you can measure the exact value yourself.
?If it is not necessary to take into account feeder losses, the value 00 should be
written into the cell, then the calculations will correspond only to the mismatch
losses."

73, Joerg - DB2OO

"Fider loss input 0.5dB" #atu-100

The fast test on my atu-100 ext kit gives me above mentioned message, as the tuner seems to work. I have a problem to understand what that means - is that good or not?
Can anybody help me what I need to check or what to do?
Many thanks!

Re: ATU-100 reads power output high

Thanks Russ
I¡¯ll have a look at those diodes and then, if I can, de-glue the connections to update/modify the firmware.
Your reply is appreciated.
Thx, Dan

Re: ATU-100 reads power output high

Don - the tandem match diodes on Aliexpress units sometimes are not the correct BAT41 or 1N5711 diodes, causing incorrect readings.

You could try changing cell 31 values until your tuner agrees with your wattmeter. Normally, this cell is set for 10 when there are 10 turns on the BN43-202. The manual is on David's github site

Be sure to keep a copy of the current firmware as written to the 16F1938 controller...
