I asked this question before, and didn't receive any response!?
Commercially-available tuners such as the LDG and MFJ seriously de-rate their power handling when used on FT8 mode. The LDG RT100 (100 W SSB/CW) claims just 30 W max. on FT-8 and the RT-600 (600 W SSB/CW) is rated at just 250 W max. FT-8.
But what about the N7DDC kits - especially those coming out of China on Ali Express and EBAY? I have one each of the 100 W and 1000 W versions What kind of power will those handle when on FT-8 mode? Do any of you run these Chinese tuner kits on FT8?
