Agreed. Opposite direction. I've also checked the Norcal QRP wattmenter instructions, and they also specify opposite directions.
What makes it confusing (for me), is on the BITX group they are using the kitsandparts stockton bridge, and Diz indicates that the two (separate) toroids should be wound in the same direction. It seems that the reflected and forward signals will be reversed, if wound in the opposite sense, at least according to the BITX crew...
