This is the correct behaviour. On power up ¡°S8¡± defaults to ¡°ON¡±, which means the capacitor bank is connected to the RF output side.
When you are in the manual tune test mode, short press the ¡°Tune¡± button to toggle between capacitor bank on input or output side of the network. This is covered in the manual (see attached).
When the capacitor bank is on the input side (S8 OFF), the C value is displayed above the L value. If the capacitor bank is on the output side (S8 ON), the C value is displayed below the L value.
