Hi all,
I noticed that when my PicKit 3.5 is connected to my ATU100 (EXT, PIC
1938), the 78L05 on my board gets warm to the touch - much warmer than
when the device is in it's normal operation mode.
I have seen the same effect with another PIC project of mine. My concern
is that the PicKit is for some reason drawing a lot of current and will
eventually kill the 78L05 or damage itself. Is this normal? Do I need to
do anything to protect the voltage regulator or the programmer?
